Why This One Matters

The Cause

You've been to a hundred mixers. None of them keep San Francisco's local artists working.

The Palace Theater isn't a themed bar. It is a working 1920s prohibition-era speakeasy — 10,000 square feet of vaudeville cabaret, illicit bar, crooked casino, and secret passageways — hidden behind an unmarked clock-repair shop on Broadway since 2016. And every night it operates, it employs Bay Area artists.

Independent venues like this don't run on goodwill alone. Every $120 ticket directly pays The Palace Theater — the venue that keeps this 1923 speakeasy operating — along with the cast, crew, and Joshua Smith and his team at Jaxon BBQ & Provisions that afternoon. Your ticket keeps a working theater working and supports both BNI members.

You're not just buying a Saturday afternoon. You're putting a checkmark next to "yes, San Francisco still has places — and people — like this."

The Network

Once a Year

Three hours. Ten+ chapters. One room.

Your weekly chapter is forty people you already know. This is the only Saturday all year the rest of BNI Bay Area — Peninsula, East Bay, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, North Bay — sits in the same room.

That's hundreds of new referral partners across industries your chapter doesn't cover. In one afternoon. Without a single visitor day.

Cross-Examination

No — we want the theater as full as we can fill it. Every guest needs their own ticket, but invite freely.
Smart casual is the floor. 1920s costume is welcome and encouraged — it adds to the atmosphere but isn't required to enjoy the afternoon.
BNI members across all 5 Bay Area regions, plus their invited guests. You don't need to be in BNI yourself if a member sponsors you.
Three-hour Saturday afternoon at The Palace Theater, food and soft drinks throughout, the live immersive murder mystery performance, your detective dossier, prize eligibility, and a contribution toward preserving the venue.
You don't. Networking, drinks, and watching the show is plenty. Detectives who do crack the case win prizes.
The caterer accommodates most. Note your needs in your reservation and we'll handle it with the venue.
All sales are final — tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Enter through Sam Lee's Laundry at 644 Broadway, located to the left of the Chinese restaurant.
